There was a Wheat Field.

History of Greenbryre Golf & Country Club

The Semko family owned this rolling wheat field, and the terrain was so suited for a golf course that they could envision each hole. They began planting trees and irrigating, and in 1979, Greenbryre Golf & Country Club was born. It quickly gained exposure by hosting a celebrity golf challenge in 1980 that brought Gordie Howe, Jan Stephenson and Wayne Gretzky to Saskatoon.

In 2012, the Greenbryre Joint Venture acquired the course and tasked golf course architect Garth Keayes from Golf Shape in Tisdale Saskatchewan to design a 12 hole golf course. Spring 2014 brings the premiere of the new Greenbryre Golf and Country Club - the first of it’s kind in Western Canada - and we invite you to experience Greenbryre again, for the first time.

Greenbryre Golf & Country Club is the centerpiece of Greenbryre Estates, Saskatoon's newest luxury housing development.

Also opening this spring is our new aquatic practice range. With 4 island targets and a floating fountain, the aquatic range provides a fun and challenging way for players to improve their shot accuracy.

Shuttle cart service will be available for transportation of public and members to and from the aquatic practice facility...a no charge service.

50 New Club Car electric carts will be in the fleet, with Visage GPS systems installed for the golfers enjoyment. See the new Club Cars in action here.
